...Nevada Placer Gold Mines for Sale...

Nevada gold mines for sale.... Offered are 685 acres of proven Northern Nevada gold properties.
The properties consist of:
(2) 60 acre association gulch placer claims.
(7) 80 acre association placer claims.
(1) 5 acre Mill Site
Size
These claims total 685 acres of gold bearing properties of which 450+- acres are eligible for mining operations.
Location
All claims are Unpatented Nevada Placer Gold Properties and are joined together in the Pine Nut Mountains of Northern Nevada. The claims are conveniently located one hours drive, east of Minden Nevada (2 hours south of Reno) providing easy access, yet 15 miles from the nearest paved road and populated areas. The mining season averages 210 days per year.

Brief Claim Site HistoryThese gold mines for sale are located within the Mount Siegel Mining District where gold was discovered in the 1890’s. Mining activities, exploration and production are fairly well documented from the 1890's to the present. We have available many historical documents and geological reports and photos (aerial & ground) in PDF format (see the links at bottom of this page) outlining much of the history and the proven gold reserve potential of the property. Even after 120 years of mining activity this property still remains relatively untouched. Small nuggets and fine gold can be found on or near the surface, throughout the property with relative ease on any given day!
Mines Overview and Geology
An ancient river that ran through the Lake Tahoe area and flowed east to just below Virginia City and turned south along what is now the Pine nut mountain range, deposited large amounts of gold in the Mt. Siegel District. This ancient river bed is evident on the east boundary of our claims at the 7,800 foot level and is a major source of the gold on these claims. Another large gold source is a glacial flow to the south from Mount Siegel (see photos). These two sources converge right over top of our claims.
Gold Origin
Exploration and mining has shown that gold from the ancient river bed and glacial sources were deposited over several time periods as evidenced by the newer and older gold deposits. Past exploration has found river bed rock containing gold near the surface to over 100 feet below the surface. Gold bearing false bedrock (pipe clay) is seen at many different levels. Most of the mining activity took place at or near the surface so the greatest opportunities (as indicated by exploration reports) will be found by going much deeper.
Buckeye Placers
A fair amount gold was extracted from this area, called the “Buckeye Placers” and some miners even made small fortunes, the most notable of which were the Slater’s who held about 2,400 acres of claims for many years. The gold found in this area averages .88 to .92 fine and the largest recorded nugget weighed in at 14 ounces. Historical and current data show the surface gold on the average to return about one tenth ounce per yard and the deeper deposits, up to several ounces per yard processed
Water
Water has always been the main obstacle in fully developing these properties. Miners in the past have relied on few weeks of spring runoff, a small lake that was depleted rapidly and a seasonal pond for much needed water to process their gravels. In 1970 the mine owner drilled a well 200 feet deep on the property and washed an unknown quantity of gold. The miner previous to us also utilized the well. The problem is that this well is not approved according the State of Nevada, and we were informed that a new well must now to be drilled to obtain legal water resources for mining.
Proven Reserves
The reserves on this property have been proven through mining and exploration several times and always show consistent findings. The gold found in the bedrock, of course is much richer, coarser and relatively untouched to date.
BedRock
The key to successfully mining this property is to identify bedrock (where large concentrations of gold are found) through core drilling. Previous core drilling of the property found bedrock averaged from 8 to 30 feet deep and in some places much deeper. The previous mine owner found bedrock just above our pond, not far from the surface and extracted 65 ounces of concentrated gold in a tiny area. This property has never been mined on a large scale, mostly due to lack of water. Now that gold prices are high and water can be made available, it’s the best time ever to fully develop these properties.
Exploration History
The last major geological exploration of this property occurred in the 1960’s. The resulting effort placed the reserves of a few hundred acres surrounding the Slater’s house at about $780,000 when gold was $4.28 an ounce, that’s over $30,000,000 today!
The fact that the property has recently (2009) been approved for an exploration permit, which involves dealing with all of the required State, local, and various other federal government agencies, EPA etc. supports the feasibility of fast tracking this project to full production.
Proposal
The owners will consider reasonable “OFFERS” for selling or trading all or part of the 10 claims. They offer full cooperation with “QUALIFIED” prospective partner(s) or purchaser(s) and their representative(s) in allowing full access to the claims for sampling and all legal mining documents for due diligence purposes.
