Successful treatment depends upon proper installation procedure as follows for All gas and diesel marine engines:
1… Change engine oil and filter.
2… Fuel and prepare vessel for launch.
3… Warm engine to normal operating temperature.
4… Shake Microlon liquid in container(s) for 30 seconds.
5… Add proper amount of Microlon to fuel tank.
6… Add proper amount of Microlon to crankcase.
7… Immediately… start engine and run/operate for at least an hour.
8… Check and add engine oil as necessary (the Microlon cleaner/carrier fluid cooks off in about an hour), the resin stays in the oil until the engine is fully treated during subsequent runs.
9… Operate the vessel normally until the next scheduled oil change. If engine oil becomes unusually dirty, (due to Microlon’s cleaning action), change it sooner (best if not done before 15 hours following treatment).
10… Noticeable benefits of the treatment are usually seen within the first 1-5 hours after treatment. The full benefits are not realized until after the first oil change following treatment, about 25 hours.
